FRAMES UPDATE NETWORK
Updates should be verified, recoverable and boring.
The Frames update direction combines signed metadata with the HelixFS roadmap for known-good snapshots, staged activation and rollback rather than leaving a system half-updated.
UPDATE CONTRACT
Integrity first. Rollback by design.
Current web release infrastructure already supports hashes and detached signatures. The native Frames update path will continue to evolve with the operating system and HelixFS.
SHA-256 integrity
Published release artifacts carry an exact digest for download verification.
Ed25519 signatures
Detached signatures can authenticate release metadata without shipping the private signing key inside the website.
HelixFS rollback direction
Future system updates target a known-good snapshot, verified staging, atomic activation and automatic fallback.
